Who we are
GetSmart Injury Network is a marketing and intake service, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Participating law firms are independent and pay GetSmart for advertising and intake services. You are free to choose any attorney.
Information we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, phone number, email.
- Intake responses you provide about an accident: timeframe, whether you sought medical help, who was involved, your own statement about fault, whether a lawyer is already involved, a short narrative of what happened, and the state where it happened.
- Consent records: the fact and time of the consent you give, so we can honor it.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, and how you use the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
Some information you share may relate to your health. We treat health-related information as sensitive and handle it accordingly.
How we use your information
- To provide the free information and resources you came for.
- If you request it, to connect you with an independent participating law firm for a free consultation, and to help set that up.
- To contact you about your request, including by phone call or text message (see SMS terms below).
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
SMS / text messaging program
If you provide your phone number and check the contact-consent box, GetSmart Injury Network may send you SMS text messages, including via automated technology, to help set up your free consultation and share related information.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out of automated messages at any time.
- Reply HELP for help, or call us at 877-310-0002.
Your mobile information is never shared or sold
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
This carve-out is absolute: your consent to receive texts, and the mobile data tied to it, are never sold and never shared with anyone for their own marketing.
How we share other information
Separately from the mobile opt-in data described above, and only to deliver what you ask for:
- Participating law firm. If you request a connection, the intake information you provide is shared with the independent participating law firm for your area so it can contact you about a free consultation. That is the service you are requesting. This does not include your text-messaging opt-in data, which is never shared.
- Service providers. Vendors who help us operate the site and our intake process (for example, hosting and communications tools) may process information strictly on our behalf and under contract.
- Legal requirements. When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising pixels
We use only essential cookies by default. With your consent, we may use analytics and advertising pixels (such as Google and Meta/Instagram/Facebook) to understand and improve our reach. You can decline non-essential cookies in our banner, and we honor browser opt-out signals like Global Privacy Control (GPC). See Your California Privacy Choices.
Data retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires, including retaining consent records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, see Your California Privacy Choices or contact us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
